Acadia Memories is the place to make your Bar Harbor memories! This well kept gem is just a quick walk to the shore front, shops, restaurants, grocery store, Island Explorer bus stop and more. The first floor offers a nice family room with TV, laundry area, eat in kitchen, full bath with large tiled shower and a living room. Upstairs you’ll find a king bedroom, queen bedroom and one with two twin beds as well as a full bath with separate tub and a tiled shower. Plenty of room for your family visit to Acadia National Park. There is a nice covered porch on the front of the house as well as a deck with gas grill on the side. We were impressed by the house. It was better than expected. Everything was clean and well-kept. We definitely felt at home here-it was cozy and comfortable and within walking distance to the main town. Perfect for our group of 6. Our vacation here was wonderful, and we would definitely love to stay here again!
Home was nice, very well equipped and extremely conveniently located. Not having to find parking in downtown Bar Harbor to go out to eat, shopping etc. was wonderful. Owner and rental agent were very responsive to any concerns we had.
We are back for a 4th time! And still love your house! John and I biked most of the carriage trails and our “kids” achieved their goal of climbing all the 1000+ peaks in the park (or on the Island) We enjoyed diner out every night, Black Friar, Blaze, Side Street, Paddy’s and McKay’s were our favorites. And finally Beal’s for the best lobster rolls around. (and that’s saying something from us as we live on the Connecticut shoreline where we are known for awesome hot lobster rolls!)

The cottage was perfectly located to accommodate the needs of our multi generational family. Seniors were able to stroll to the shops and coast. Kids were able to play at the Sand Bar and teens spent evenings at the local ice cream shops. We enjoyed being able to walk everywhere and avoid the hassle of parking. Of course nothing beat the beauty of Acadia National Park which was right out of our door. First trip to Maine but definitely not the last.
First trip to Maine from New Jersey and well worth the trip. We will be back with the extended family. The house was a perfect location. We enjoyed the sand bar, Hannaford’s, walking to the Village Green, ocean walk, Stewmans, Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond Hike, Sand Beach, Park Loop Road and Pirates Cove mini golf.
We are back again for the 4th time (I think?) And again we enjoyed your house very much. It is a great place to base our week in Bar Harbor from. We also enjoy looking for the changes in the house every year. The lights on the stairs are a great addition! This year both our adult children were able to join us. We continued the tradition of the parents biking the carriage trails and the “kids” doing all the crazy hikes. Thanks again for providing such a wonderful house. Hopefully we will return again next year!

This was our first visit to MDI and we hope to come back many more times. Even though it rained many days we had an amazing time hiking around the park. Beehive, Beech/Canada Cliffs, Great Head and Gorham Mt. were amazing hikes and views. The kids enjoyed playing at Sand Beach and Echo Lake. Our kids got to see shooting starts over Long Pond, which was a first for both. Being so close to Bar Island and town was so nice. We loved walking around town in the evenings.
It’s been a tough year but it’s been a marvelous vacation. We summitted Cadillac twice and hiked a few other days. We ate pizza on the porch and crossed the harbor at low tide. We enjoyed ice cream nearly every night and slept well in our cozy quarters. This was our first trip to Maine and we couldn’t recommend this place enough.
As I sit and reflect on what a great trip and great time we had, I just wanted to say thank you, again for providing us such a wonderful place to stay.
This cottage couldn’t get any cuter. The decorations and warm accommodations make it feel like a home away from home. We <3 this cottage. We had a lot of fun this time walking around Acadia National Park...even making it around Jordan Pond. The kids enjoyed Miss Samantha's boat ride learning all about lobsters. They also enjoyed Pirate's Cove Golf (only a few sort minutes down the road). Thank you for sharing your home with us. Hope to see you real soon.
Another one for the books…Had a fantastic week hiking, kayaking, eating, drinking, eating, drinking, you get the idea. Our family has been coming up to the island every year since 1945 and with each generation the love of this place gets stronger. We are back for our second visit and had a great time. We hiked the “Quiet” side and the “not-so-quiet” side and Schoodic Peninsula. We also tried kayaking with Coastal Kayaking (a short Harbor Tour) and thoroughly enjoyed it. We heard spooky ghost stories with Bar Harbor Ghost Tours and even checked out the lumberjack show in Trenton/Ellsworth. Thank you again for sharing your cottage with us!
This is our second time staying at Acadia Memories. We had another great week. The weather this year could not have been better! We hiked, biked and kayaked again this year. Highlights were kayaking with National Parks Kayaking on the “quiet side” of the island. We saw many harbor seals, loons, and a baby eagle! We also tried Side Street Café for the first (and second) time and really liked it! Your house again was wonderful and we very much enjoyed our time here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Acadia Memories. The house was absolutely wonderful and we felt so comfortable the moment we stepped inside. We loved the mix of the old and the new. This is our first trip to Maine from Iowa and your cottage was a perfect “home base” for us providing the atmosphere of a Maine cottage in an ideal location. We took lots of hikes in the forest to the water. Our “almost” 9 year old learned how to skip rocks. In the evenings we watched movies in your movie room, played games and read. We ate yummy seafood and found a bakery with blueberry scones and pie!
Our first time at your beautiful cottage! We have been to Bar Harbor 8 times and loved every minute. Our two adult kids joined us for the whole week – what a treat! We mostly spent the mornings hiking and biking. We did go kayaking one morning with National Park Sea Kayak tours – great trip. Afternoons were spend here relaxing and enjoying your wonderful cottage. Can’t wait to come back.
Back again for an incredible year at Bar Harbor. This place means family, friends, simplicity and just breathing easier. Our little man turned 2 this year (celebrating another birthday in this house!) A couple joined us this year for an even happier time! We can’t wait to come back and make more memories!
We had a wonderful week! The house was wonderful. We loved to be able to walkk anywhere in town. Our teenage kids loved to be able to go to the coffee shop, popcorn store and the gift shops. Our son especially loved being so close to the sand bar. He walked down almost every day. We enjoyed hiking, biking the carriage trails, canoeing, paddle boarding, and kayaking. One other favorite thing was the boat trip on the Islander. We went to see puffins, lighthouses and harbor seals. It was fantastic. Thanks for providing such a wonderful home away from home for the week.

I wanted to write and tell you what a fabulous time we had last week while in Bar Harbor. thank you for your help and recommendations. The house was clean, comfortable and very well located. Everything was great. I really appreciated having the kitchen well stocked with the essentials for cooking. It was very nice that laundry and dish/dishwasher soap and paper towels were provided. Those types of things are painful to have to buy while on vacation. Also, we truly appreciated the lovely welcome basket from the owners. It was very thoughtful and made us feel right at home. We had such a great time that my sisters and I are planning to have a family reunion in Bar Harbor next summer. The house on Bridge street is great and very centrally located.
