Enjoy fabulous views of the mountains of Mount Desert from this waterfront cottage. Located on the shore on Goose Cove in Trenton this lovely home has three bedrooms and three baths. On the first floor there is a separate suite with two queen beds and bath. This suite is not accessible from inside the main part of the house. It has a separate exterior door. In the main part of the house you will find on the first floor, kitchen, bedroom with queen bed, bathroom and large living/dining area with gorgeous views. There is a propane fireplace in the living room for chilly nights. Upstairs you’ll find the third bedroom and bath. There is a small deck, nice lawn area and steps down to the tidal shore frontage. All updated and equipped for your Acadia vacation.

The location of this home was perfect! It has gorgeous views from both inside and outside of the home and had everything we needed during our stay.
This home was a great place for our week’s stay. Spectacular views, bald eagles fishing, loons and more squirrels than we could count! The house was well stocked with spices and cooking oils. Crockery was in great shape with a generous fridge. The gas fireplace kept us warm in the evenings. Clean and modern. Fifteen minute drive to Bar Harbor or Acadia. All in all it’s a great place and I would rent again!

The view was spectacular and we loved the peaceful atmosphere. I really enjoyed sitting in the chairs overlooking the water and watching my girls exploring the beach at low tide. We saw wild turkeys in the morning and birds cracking clam shells open on the rocks. The house was the best stocked vacation rental of any home I’ve ever stayed at (hand soap, laundry detergent, trash bags, coffee filters, olive oil etc.) that made the stay even more enjoyable! I highly recommend this home.
This house is beautiful! The great room overlooks the bay with a wall of windows, and we spent time lounging there with family, eating, and watching the seals and eagles. The location was ideal for reach all parts of the Island, and we had hiking and biking adventures every day. There are close by coffee shops and grocery stores (we like the one in Bar Harbor best). The bedrooms were comfortable, and three bathrooms have enough space to get ready each day. The kitchen was well-outfitted (although a dishwasher would have been a plus). We hope to come back!
We enjoyed the beautiful views and relaxing by the water. The cottage was lovely-thank you for having us! We would definitely come back. We visited Bar Harbor and Acadia. The carriage roads were fun to bike, and sunset kayak was great. We enjoyed lobster diners and the clam chowder. At the cottage we would have coffee in the morning by the water and watch the tide come in and out. The gas fireplace was perfect for chilly evenings. It was nice sleeping with the windows open on warmer nights and feeling the breeze. The area has much to do and warrants a return vacation!
Island View was perfect for our vacation. Our little piece of heaven for the week. The home is very accommodating, great layout and very comfortable. We could not get enough of the view. We had our chair in the corner with binoculars and just looked and looked. Enjoyed all the wildlife on the shore, saw the turkeys daily and watched the birds drop shells. This location was awesome for going to Acadia and into Bar Harbor. Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

We have visited Acadia NP many times and usually stay in Bar Harbor. This location is perfect for those spending time in the Park and close enough to Bar Harbor for convenient access to shopping. The area is beautiful and is super private and quiet. We would stay here again for sure. The home is very well kept and appointed as well.

I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay while exploring Acadia Nat’l Park. The house was very comfortable and roomy and the location was just a 15 minute drive to Acadia. The view from the house was outstanding! We enjoyed watching seals from the deck most mornings and evenings. Don’t hesitate to book this property!
The location was convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The house was surrounded by beautiful views and made for an overall peaceful stay! Check in was also super easy. We would stay here again, the views from the house and the house itself make it worth it.
Perfect location to great restaurants and 15 minutes to Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor! We spent a lot of time just at the Cottage, the beach area was directly to the front of the house is amazing and so much to explore! The tide difference was amazing and something to be aware of. Lots of birds, eagles, turkeys were fun to watch. House had perfect accommodations for our family! Highly recommend.

The view from the backyard was perfect. The essentials (hand soap, laundry detergent, trash bags, lobster pot, etc.) made it easy to have everything we needed. The privacy of the locations is a big positive. The fireplace was nice because we had some cool evenings. Jennifer (host) was quick to respond and very helpful. Easy drive into Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Will definitely have this location on my list of places to stay again.
This place was AMAZING!!! We loved every minute. It was the perfect place to come back to after days spent biking Acadia and walking Bar Harbor. The private beach was great to explore during low tide. One of the nest stays we’ve ever had.
Beautiful location in a perfect spot near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park which we fell in love with. Very clean and updated. Thank you for the perfect home base as we explored Maine for the first time.
The pictures don’t do it justice! Its gorgeous from all angles, and the difference in low tide and high tide is dramatic. The space is comfortable and well appointed. Some tips-absolutely follow the directions they give you. Be sure to enjoy the sunsets from the comfy lawn chairs, the upper bedroom gets warm, use the fans provided and open the windows ahead of time-quietly watch the birds during low tide and you’ll be treated to a show of birds dropping shellfish from great heights onto the rocks below and eating the mollusk inside, and trying to steal from each other. Keep in close contact with the management company so they can have the place in order when you arrive and when you leave so they can begin turning the space for next guests.

We loved this place! The cottage was spacious but cozy with gorgeous views. The beach was fun to explore during low tide. We were close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Our whole group enjoyed it and will definitely be back!!

This was a beautiful cottage and a perfect spot to enjoy all the attractions. So relaxing and you could just get lost in the view.
You will never tire of the beautiful view out of the living room window. It was a gorgeous setting and a very comfortable house, not too far from Acadia or Bar Harbor. I watched a bald eagle perch in one of the tall evergreens out front and be yelled at and eventually driven off by crows from the Adirondack chairs overlooking the bay.

We enjoyed staying at you beautiful home! Our grandson, age 5, said that he is moving here and how much he would miss this place. He is sad. We enjoyed seeing seals, woodpeckers, deer, a bald eagle, lots of crabs, clams and many birds. Enjoyed Acadia, the sunrise on Cadillac Mountain. Most of all the view from the cove! Thank you.

Amazing view, especially sunset. Didn’t get a chance to do sunrise since we would do Acadia in the morning. Its about a 20 minute drive to the stuff in Acadia which isn’t bad at all. The view is particularly key to our stay because working from home can get boring and the view made it an amazing experience. There’s one big common space where we had two tables to work from, so it worked out between the four of us. Amenities-everything we needed, pots, pans and bathroom things…it was awesome. And it was very clean! Loved our stay!
Maine Island’s place was beautiful. The view was spectacular, just like the pictures, if not better! The king bed upstairs is SUPER comfortable! The location was perfect 15 minutes from Acadia National Park and 20 minutes from Bar Harbor. Before and during the stay the owners were quick communicators and very kind. I recommend this place and would stay here again.

Thank you for letting us stay in this wonderful vacation home. My family enjoyed sitting out in the evening gazing at the abundant stars in the sky. Had a great stay at Island View! Property is fantastic. Clean and obviously everything was brand new. Helpful instructions throughout spelling out everything that you need. Complements to the interior designer! Everything is nicely done and beautiful. View is fantastic. We spend as much time outside as we could. Loved watching the ospreys fish in the morning and at night. Had a daily visit from a tom turkey, and a doe with a new fawn. The night sky brilliant. Bring a telescope if you have one. Location is convenient to all of that Arcadia and Mount Desert Island has to offer, but is also close to shopping for necessities. There is a Walmart Super Center just up the road in Ellsworth. Will look to come back.
