The house was clean and comfortable. We did not cook much but the kitchen had lots of gear and seemed well appointed. The TV was smart and easy for us to use. The living room had plenty of seating for our family of 4 as did the dining table. It was a bit far to walk downtown for dinner as it would have been a dark walk back. It’s about a mile to downtown so definitely possible but we never actually did it. It’s a super easy drive to Hannaford Supermarket and the rest of downtown. We got a lot of great take out and at and shopped in town. The island is amazing! We loved kayaking, canoeing, hiking and rock climbing! It was a great base for our adventures. The three bedrooms and loft are upstairs and share a bathroom with 3 doors. There is a second full bath downstairs. We would stay again!

  2. Guest

Cozy home right at Acadia entrance and easy access to Bar Harbor. Quiet street and the home was so cozy!

  3. Guests

House was the perfect landing pad between exploring all of MDI and Acadia and Bar Harbor! Bedroom configuration is workable with the floor plan that allows four sleeping areas to share the upstairs bathroom. Second full bathroom downstairs helped with shower rotation! Towels and places to hang them were abundant. We enjoyed the coziness of the sitting room, especially the window seats! There were plenty of games, puzzles and books to satisfy a trail weary family at the end of each day. We found the kitchen well stocked with cooking needs, paper products, etc. Great stay!

  4. Guest

Amazing location for both Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor downtown. Lots of charm!

  5. guest

Very clean, as advertised, located only half mile or so from entrances to the carriage trails of Acadia. Very pretty inside. Huge kitchen. Plenty of space. Within walking distance of the downtown although Eagle Lake Road has some fast moving traffic. You can bike here to the park loop road~you do have to navigate a gnarly hill though! We ultimately decided to load our bikes on the car and park close to the carriage road entrance around Eagle Lake and Jordan Pond. The only issue is check out is quite early~9:30. In August Bar Harbor and the “greatest hits” attractions are heavily used so seek out less used areas! The ferry to Winter Harbor and Schoodic is awesome.

  6. Guest

Very cozy and clean place. Beautiful and functional kitchen, main bedroom bed was very comfortable. We felt right at home.

  7. Guest

We had an amazing time here, and what a beautiful house! We loved watching the little squirrels running on the bear statue in the yard. And loved its proximity to the golf course-there are so many deer at dawn. Thank you so much!

  8. Guest

Our first trip to Acadia did not disappoint! We took full advantage of all the park has to offer, to include summit hikes to Cadillac Mountain and Acadia Mountain, Echo Lake, Beech Cliff and a nice walk around Jordan Pond and a beautiful hike along the Ocean Path from Sand Beach to Otter Cliffs. Spent a lot of time cycling in and around Eagle Lake and took a day trip to Schoodic Peninsula. Did some kayaking too. Of course we made a few trips to Bar Harbor as well, its a lovely little town. We really enjoyed our time at the cottage, very comfortable and a great location. All told we had a wonderful vacation. Five stars all the around. We hope to be back soon.

  9. Guest

Beautiful home in a perfect location for the best trip tp Acadia National Park. We had everything we needed for an amazing stay. Thank you for the lovely accommodations, with everything we could have possible needed. We loved our time in Acadia, Schoodic Peninsula and Isle au Haut. Bar Harbor is a quaint little town and fun to visit. I have acquired a love for whoopie pies while in Maine and will always look back fondly of my time here.

Nice place in a great location!

  11. Guest

I’ve been to Acadia Maine many times and the locations of this house is the best I’ve ever had. We were so close to the park entrance and a five minute drive from town. The house itself was peaceful and quite unique with antique decertations in almost every room and a few paintings from the local area. I loved having a dishwasher too because I love to cook. My one complaint was a lack of a lobster set. I like cooking my own lobsters and other places have had lobster pots to cook in as well as sizable plates, but with a quick trip to the hardware store we made due. All in all it was a great stay and I would definitely come back!

  12. Guest

Wonderful place! Very convenient for town and all things Acadia! Spotless furniture and linens, free of clutter. Squeaky clean bathroom and pristine kitchen!

  13. Kurt

Great house in an amazing location! House had everything we needed and more. Beautifully decorated, clean and well maintained. Perfect for a week of exploring Acadia and Bar Harbor. Awesome covered porch for relaxing. We would highly recommend!

  14. Guest

I grew up in Maine and was absolutely thrilled to visit with my family after being away for so many years. The cottage was stunning, with coastal charm and a nostalgic feel reminiscent of a slower, bygone area. It felt like home the moment we walked through the door. The house is just a quick five-minute drive into Bar Harbor, a charming town with delightful shops and delicious seafood, and picturesque views. The proximity of the cottage to the park entrance made exploring Acadia a breeze. The breathtaking landscapes, from the rugged coastline to the serene lakes and lush forests, provided endless opportunities for hiking, biking and wildlife watching. After our long, adventure-filled days in Acadia, the internet at the cottage was fantastic-stable and fast enough for the kids to stream movies and unwind. I cant wait to come back and create more unforgettable memories in the years to come!

  15. Guest

We had a great stay. The house is charmingly furnished with vintage and antique furniture and art. The location is perfect-it is easy to access Bar Harbor and Acadia, yet quiet and peaceful. The beds were comfortable. The house is plentifully stocked with everything one might need: linens, paper goods, cooking implements and kitchen appliances, dish and laundry detergent, games, puzzles. We highly recommend this rental!!

  16. Guest

What a wonderful, charming home! It was clean and bright. Just the perfect size for our family. We enjoyed being so close to the downtown Bar Harbor, hiking trails and Acadia National Park. Would love to come back in the Fall to enjoy the colors!

  17. Wayle Family

This home is so cozy. We’ve been visiting Bar Harbor and Acadia for years and even during a very rainy week we had the best time! we truly enjoyed the time spent in the home cooking together and playing board games. Thank you for making this the perfect time away from home.

This was our second trip to Mount Desert Island, but our first time staying so close to Bar Harbor! We loved how close everything is. We packed each day with fun activities but loved coming back to a cozy home. Our almost 5 year old and 1 1/2 loved playing in the yard. We even started and FINISHED a game of Monopoly for the first time in years! Thank you for such a lovely place to stay here in Bar Harbor. We hope it wont be long until we can return.

  20. Carpenter Family

Thank you for a wonderful stay! We really enjoyed this beautiful home and surrounding areas! Our first family trip together and that to such a beautiful place like Acadia/Bar Harbor. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

  21. Fry Family

Our first trip to Maine-made even better by staying in this charming home. We had a relaxing experience and the great movie, book and music selection made us feel right at home. We enjoyed the ocean, mountain views and strolling through the downtown area. We scrambled up Pemetic Mountain trail, which was challenging for us Floridians. But rewarding! We had a mighty fun time riding through the carriage roads around Jordan Pond on electric bikes. We highly recommend! And we were able to witness a calf and mother hump back whale. Altogether an amazing trip! Thank you!

  22. Pascale Family

We had an amazing stay!! It is so close to the Park and is a perfect location. Highly recommend the Beehive trail. We biked and kayaked. It is absolutely gorgeous here. We love the hidden staircase.

  23. Doyle Family

I just had a lovely vacation with my husband and in-laws here in Bar Harbor. My mom used to live across the street from this house, so it was also nice to revisit the neighborhood. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

  28. Kat

We loved our stay in Maine! The house was a great location for Acadia and easy for Bar Harbor. Great kitchen that was stocked very well with all we needed. The house was perfect for our getaway.

  29. Sandra

It was an amazing week! Perfect house! Perfect neighborhood! Very clean!!! Would definitely stay again! Thank you so much.

  30. Nicole

Lovely spot outside of the Bar Harbor downtown. One needs a car to access the park or downtown but there is plenty of space in the driveway. Great kitchen for cooking home. Clean bathrooms and living space and lovely antique furniture. No AC was not an issue as it cools down enough at night to sleep comfortably. We visited in August and were very comfortable with four people staying here.

  31. Guest

The house was great! Lots of charm and character. Great location to downtown Bar Harbor and hiking.

  32. Jeff

Perfect location. Was a great amount of space for a family of four. Enjoyed easy access to the many lakes and ponds-glad we brought our kayaks and the circular driveway was great for the kayak trailer. Thank you, we hope to come back!

  33. Guest from TN

We had a beautiful experience at Acadia and thank you for being part of it! Your home is very special and I loved seeing all the other people to whom it brought joy. The seafood, hiking, biking, beach and nights of solid sleep in what I will remember best.

  34. Guest from NC

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. We loved every evening on the wrap around porch. We will definitely be coming back to Bar Harbor in the future.

Thank you for taking us on vacation. I love your house!

  38. Burcham family from MD

Thank you for a wonderful experience staying in your beautiful home. It was our second visit to Acadia and we loved making new memories and visiting Mount Desert Island. We had many new adventures taking a boat to Islesford and Great Cranberry. Each family member has there favorite spot. Our son recommends Thunder Hole, Asticou Gardens and kayaking in Long Pond. Our daughter loved the “secret stairs” in you house to her bedroom. Swimming at Echo Lake and a carriage ride in the park. I enjoyed walking around Jordan Pond and visiting the lovely towns on the Island. We had lunch in Southwest Harbor and enjoyed the shops in Northeast Harbor. The sunsets over Bar Harbor are gorgeous. Thanks again for more happy memories.

  39. Guest form FL

Visiting from Florida, had such a wonderful time. Your house made it our home away from home. Thank you for sharing your cottage.

  40. Barrett Family from OH

What a wonderful vacation for our family! The cottage was our peaceful home away from home-we loved cooking, sitting on the front porch. So close to such a beautiful park-it was just perfect! Thank you for thinking of everything-it was so appreciative!

  41. Sarah & Steve

Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We were thrilled to be in such close proximity with the park entryway. We were thrilled to be able to hike such spectacular mountains and enjoy Sand Beach and Jordan Pond as well. Parsons fishery was another bonus! It was a pleasure cooking and baking in your beautiful kitchen. The lobster pot came in handy! This was out first trip to Acadia/Bar Harbor and it was magical.

  42. Robert

Exactly as described. The house was clean, well stocked, quaint and in a nice neighborhood.

  43. Guest from PA & OH

Your home is beautiful! We spent most of our time right here in the kitchen/dining area, making and eating meals together; playing cards or rummikub; planning our next day and talking about todays adventure. Although our stay was short, we did everything we set out to do and more. We even managed to get up before the sunrise 2X’s to watch it at Cadillac Mountain and Sand Beach-Gorgeous! Thanks for the memories!

  44. Guest

Truly enjoyed this house, it was very close to downtown. Very nice house and very comfortable.

  45. Christin

Beautiful, spacious home at the base of Cadillac Mountain! Convenient park access, 1.5 miles from carriage roads-accessible running or biking. Our family appreciated and made use of the many amenities, including washer/dryer, the kitchen (made pancakes on a rainy day!) and puzzles (also occupied kiddos on a rainy day). Would have loved to have more coffee on the wrap around porch. Would definitely return, and recommend to any family traveling to Bar Harbor or visiting the park!

  46. Rebecca

Perfect location, beautiful house and lovely wrap around porch. We loved our stay!

  47. Kira

Great Location, very comfortable, with the right amenities to make your vacation easier (beach chairs, kitchen staples, fans, etc.)

  48. Nancy & Seth

We had an absolutely wonderful week hiking, cycling and relaxing at your beautiful home! The fall colors have been spectacular and the weather has been perfect. Your house is the perfect home base to access all that Acadia has to offer, coming back home at the end of a very busy day has been wonderful-were not ready for it to end! We also had several wonderful meals with fresh food from Parson’s, right around the corner. We highly recommend getting fresh fish there. Thank you for sharing your special home with us!

  49. David

What an enjoyable stay! Family of six spent a great week in Maine. The house is wonderful! Being from the South we were concerned about no AC but the 70 degree Maine days and cool nights kept us comfortable. We would recommend to stay and we will visit again.

  50. Nicole

The Parkside Cottage was perfect for our family vacation. We spent most of our time in Acadia hiking and biking. The house is very close to the park entrance especially Cadillac Mountain. We rented bicycles and thought we’d be able to use them in town more, but really used them in the park. The roads to town are fairly busy and although it was a short distance we didn’t feel comfortable riding on those busier streets without bike lanes. The beds were super comfortable, its a quiet neighborhood, and the house was very clean. We really enjoyed it!

  51. Matt

Parkside Cottage is a lovely place to stay. Bar Harbor is within walking distance to it. I recommend staying at this quaint cottage.

  52. Mindy Jones

It has been too long since our last visit due to Covid, but that is all I will say about that! Very busy summer I was not expecting this at all. We enjoyed a lot more time at the house than usual mainly because it was way too busy downtown. Bar Harbor is doing well!! We were concerned about all of our favorites places, and we were glad to see they all survived the madness. The leaves have just started changing! The next 3 weeks will be perfect, enjoy the end of the season. Until next time…stay safe and healthy.

  53. Ohio girls

Thank you for a great vacation, lots of hiking, getting up really early to enjoy all that Bar Harbor has to offer. Your home is lovely and had everything we needed. Went to the Thirsty Whale, Smokey Joes and Jordan’s to eat. The #10 bus will drop you off at the Golf Course if needed.

  54. Maggie

We have had a wonderful time in your home in Acadia.
The first part of the week was very hot, but we found the things we needed to cool down the house. Thank you for letting us stay in your house and to use all your things. We have never stayed in a house as fully equipped with everything we needed, which made it so easy to eat at home. The location was really great too. We were able to access the trails from the back of the neighborhood. This evening we walked all the way to the top of Cadillac Mountain. Thank you again for sharing this special house with us.

  55. Jen

Visiting from Maryland, it was wonderful to vacation in cooler weather. The scenery is beautiful, so hiking is a must. Try the Gorge and Cadillac trails at Acadia. We had lobster rolls every single day each from a different restaurant. Finback and 2 Cats has the best food; the Chocolate Emporium is great for desert. Check out the Abbe Museum, The Rock and Art Shop , Native Arts, Willis and In the Woods. The house was very clean and cozy; it was a great experience. Have Fun!

  56. Guests from TN

Thank you for allowing us to stay at you beautiful, cozy home in Bar Harbor. We had a lovely time enjoying Acadia and surrounding beauty. We really needed the rest after a busy, stressful season and we were gifted that here. God bless you for your kindness.

  57. Guest

Acadia Park was gorgeous this time of year and we had a wonderful time. Thank you for your hospitality. This house was a perfect COVID getaway for many of us stuck in the city. Please stay healthy and safe! And to the next set of houseguests enjoy the leaves!

  58. Guests from CT

Beautiful cottage! Close to everything! We loved the comfort of your beautiful home after a long day exploring and hiking various parts of Acadia. Fall colors were breathtaking all around us! Thank you for stocking your kitchen with many essentials. That is very thoughtful of you.

  59. Dan

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your lovely cottage for the week. It was an easy drive to everywhere we went and we loved the park and village of Bar Harbor. Hopefully we’ll be back again one day!

  60. Guests from PA

Thank you for allowing our family to stay at your wonderful home! It was very hot at the beginning of the week but the second half was much cooler. Couldn’t believe how crowded town was already but delighted to see many of the same shops and restaurants open. He did hikes daily and enjoyed lots of lobster. We have visited Bar Harbor many times and our son said your house is his favorite.

  61. Guest

Great stay. We had a wonderful time in Acadia. Saw seals, porcupine and beaver.

  62. Guest

Wonderful cottage! Had a great time in the park.

  63. Mark & Coleen

We loved your home, so many interesting things to admire. Kitchen was put to use many times-just wonderful! Weather was ok, lots of fog but the colors made up for it.

  64. Guest

We had an amazing time here at the cottage! Acadia was amazing and we cannot thank you enough for providing such a beautiful place to stay. Stay healthy and safe this year! Best Wishes!

  65. Daniel

Highly recommend this as a place to stay. It’s just a short drive into Bar Harbor or anywhere in the park. The cottage is very cozy and had everything we needed.

  66. Shannon

After visiting Acadia many years ago, it was amazing to be back with my family. The beautiful property was the perfect location for our family vacation, both close to town as well as Acadia National Park. It allowed us a quiet place to relax and explore the park, but was also a quick drive or walk into town. The house had plenty of space, unique charm, and everything we needed. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch. My daughter, particularly, loved to come out every morning to sit on the wooden swing. The host was very friendly and responsive to questions we had.

  67. Cat

We had the most wonderful stay at Parkside in Bar Harbor! The location is perfect: very close to town but so peaceful, quiet and away from the crowds while also being right down the road from one of the main entrances to Acadia. The house had everything we could have wanted; the rooms were comfortable, the kitchen looked brand new and we loved spending time on the charming porch. The property manager was extremely communicative and took care of all our needs. it was a perfect week…much needed after such a crazy year. We cant wait to return!

  68. Matt

Very conveniently located near Acadia. House is nice and comfortable.

  69. Jessica

Beautiful home at the base of Cadillac Mountain, minutes from Acadia National Park. Location cannot be beat, and the house is recently renovated. Internet was a bit spotty at first, but owners were very responsive and ended up upgrading the internet. Would absolutely recommend.

  70. Maggie

Last day of summer and a week well spent, although not enough of it spent cooking in this beautiful kitchen, or rocking on the porch.
So much to see! So much to do! Favorites were giant’s slide, laying on the rocks along the coast watching the night sky, sunrise on Cadillac.
This was my second time to Acadia, first at Parkside. The location was perfect, just far enough from town.
I hope to come back to explore more, and hopefully have time to utilize some of the great ranger programs offered.
Now its time to get my Jr. Ranger Patch and work my way home.

  71. 2019 Guests

Great country cottage within Bar Harbor city limits. Very clean, 15 minute walk to downtown, quiet neighborhood. Will rent from them again.

  72. Family from PA

We had a wonderful time. Parkside Cottage is beautiful and has everything one could need. The location is perfect. It is a home away from home. We were able to enjoy much of what there is to do on Mt. Desert Island. Sadly, we missed the puffins. We hope to return though. This was a perfect vacation for our family.

  73. David

Parkside Cottage is ideally located. We could easily drive into Bar Harbor or over to the visitor’s center to catch a shuttle. Similarly, I could hop on my bike and be on the carriage trails in no time. The house is beautiful and well kept. It was supplied with all that we needed for our trip. If we have the opportunity to return to Bar Harbor I would absolutely stay at Parkside Cottage.

  74. Keith

Stellar location. After a long drive up from Brooklyn, we only used car to head over to Southwest Harbor as everything is nearby. We ate every meal in utilizing well equipped kitchen. We will be back for two weeks in Summer ’21.

  75. Guests

Clean, well-stocked kitchen, close to center of Bar Harbor

  76. Guests

Property is ideal for families with children of any age. The location is very close to Acadia entrances and a 5 minute drive into Bar Harbor where parking on side streets is fairly easy. The place was VERY clean and beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed. The family room was a comfortable place to relax on a rainy day as was the porch swing! Highly recommend this place if visiting Bar Harbor/Acadia.

  77. Diane & Rick

Once again we found your home a perfect setting in which to enjoy the delights of Acadia and Bar Harbor and surrounds. Your new kitchen is beautiful and, like the rest of your house, practical as well- though we’re sorry to hear the reason for it’s renovation. We had our 10 year old and 8 year old grandchildren with us for the 1st week, followed by their parents for a long weekend and then the special quiet and beauty of the island for ourselves the 2nd week. This is the 3rd year we’ve brought our grandchildren here (in your cottage and to Acadia). They assume it’s an annual event now and look forward to it. We really lucked out this year- the weather was glorious each day. I especially liked visiting Cadillac Mountain at sunset and hiking the many gorgeous trails and sitting on your wonderful porch! Thanks again for offering us the opportunity to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia from the comfort and beauty of your home.

  78. Brandon & Lynn

The Hartman family enjoyed an amazing week here in Parkside Cottage. You have a beautiful home and the new kitchen is simply stunning. We spoke with the gentleman next door about the renovations and assured him that everything was wonderful. The weather largely cooperated, not too rainy or cold any day, and we were able to enjoy several bright and sunny days in Acadia. One particularly nice day, we simply sat on the rocks at Thunder Hole to absorb the ocean views. Highly recommend this activity if time allows during your stay! Thank you so much for providing such a lovely place to stay!

  79. Family from Spain

We had a great time in Bar Harbor. Your home is beautiful and we loved staying here. We went into Acadia each day and enjoyed the beauty. The weather was perfect and we went to Sand Beach, which the kids enjoyed very much. We walked many trails and took tons of pictures. We also enjoyed the cottage very much. The porch swings were perfect for a “Spanish siesta”. It was the first time in the USA for my family. We loved Maine and enjoyed Bar Harbor very much. The house is perfectly located, very near to the village. We truly loved it. Sad to leave.

  80. Guests

The Bertsch family had a wonderful week. It was a little foggy, but we accomplished everything we planned! Thank you.

The seats outside were very nice and the house was comfortable. Our family enjoyed our time in Maine very much. Gorgeous hikes and great spots to eat in Bar Harbor. We loved staying at the cottage and we hope to return one day soon! Thanks!

The house worked beautifully for us. Perfect location: bike paths, park loop road, hiking paths, & Bar Harbor. We ate in – made use of the lobster pot! Hung out on the porch, in the living room and eating area. Bonus to have a retired park ranger as the handyman!

  84. Families from Cape Town, Toronto and NYC

Very special time was had here in Bar Harbor with the whole family gathered from across the globe. MDI is a very special place and very beautiful – we came, we saw and conquered the hills, trails and lobsters! We were blessed on our whale watching trip to see Minke and humpbacked whales, loads of sea birds and plenty of porpoises.

  85. Family from Maryland

We’ve been to Maine before but this is our first time on MDI. The house is perfect for our family of 4 and the weather has been a cool, breezy, refreshing change from the heat and humidity of Washington, DC. We have only positive feedback and we hope to return in the future.

  86. Family from Michigan

Adorable and perfectly located. We spent most of the week in the park and in town enjoying the sights of Bar Harbor and Acadia. Dreading leaving here and returning to reality. Hope to be back someday.

  87. Laura and Mel

We were lucky enough to return to Parkside Cottage after two years. Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and Maine is our favorite place and we always find something new each time we come. We truly hope we are able to return soon. Parkside Cottage is the ideal location for everything and we highly recommend it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us once again. Sad to leave.

  88. Diane and Rick

Thanks again – Your comfortable, well-located home once again provided a wonderful base for our favorite Mt. Desert Island activities. This year we had our grandchildren, age 6 and 8 with us. Their father came for a few days and hiked the Beehive for the second time in 20 years. He sheepishly admitted he should have climbed up the steep part with the iron rings and rungs instead of facing the abyss climbing down!

  89. Ed, Monica, Matthew, Caroline & Stephanie

Wonderful house made for a great vacation destination. All 5 of us were able to enjoy the views and the activities that Maine has to offer. Loved that town was only 2 minutes away.

It’s been 10 years since we were last in Bar Harbor. We’ve definitely missed it and we were so sappy to return! Thanks so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We hope to definitely return.

  90. Family

We have stayed in your home several times over the past few years – loved it! It is beautiful and comfortable –a favorite amongst our family! Thank you.

We had a great time in Bar Harbor again this year. We have been vacationing here for at least the last 10-12 years and it is truly a happy place. Your home is beautiful and we loved staying here. The furnishings and decor are beautiful and we loved the paint colors in each room. We enjoyed the porch swing and seeing all of the stars at night. Your flowers were beautiful and I took several photos of them. Thank you for all the accommodations!

  92. Linda, Mary Jane, Sonya, & Susan

Four ladies from Florida had a wonderful time in your beautiful cottage. Sitting on the porch in the cool evenings was a treat. We enjoyed looking at all the art work and decorations. We found Mt. Desert Island to be extremely beautiful. Shopping, eating, carriage ride through the park were all lots of fun. Don’t miss the popovers at Jordan’s Pond restaurant. Our 2.5 hour trip to Campobello in Canada to see the Roosevelt house was a major highlight of our trip. “Have passport handy!” We look forward to a return visit.

  93. Family from CT

Where do I begin?! Haven’t been here since before kids and now we have come with our 15 & 17 year olds and their friends. Acadia is amazing with everything it has to offer. We enjoyed most of the ladder trails – Precipice lives up to its reputation! Sunrise on Cadillac, sea kayaking, exploring the porcupine islands, hiking with a ranger, biking/running on carriage roads, shopping and dining in Bar Harbor were some of the highlights. We loved your beautifully decorated house.

  94. Two families

We had an amazing stay at this perfect little house in Bar Harbor! It was the perfect location to be close to the park which we enjoyed visiting every single day! Some highlights of our trip included hiking, biking, kayaking and renting scooters that we took on the park loop road (so fun!) Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We had a blast!

  95. Family

What an amazing trip to Bar Harbor and the Parkside Cottage! We mainly come to see and play in Acadia and this house is in the perfect location to the park. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us. We hope we have the opportunity to return in the near future!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cottage and the Island of Mount Desert. It was our first trip here and hopefully the first of many.

We had a great week! Thanks. Your home is wonderful and we went hiking and biking every day.

Thanks for the use of your charming home. Reminded us of our home in CT. when we lived there. Loved Acadia!–PS – loved your artwork in the living room!

  99. Mindy

This was my second visit to the Parkside Cottage. We had a great but short visit. The last few days were rainy but we had a great time. We climbed the Beehive and although I did not enjoy it in the beginning, I loved it in the end. We also went on a carriage ride on Day Mountain which I absolutely love. We relaxed a lot at the cottage. I love the new swing! It was a perfect trip once again and we can’t wait to return next year! The cottage looks great!

  100. Judy from Georgia

I am home! I curled up one night and read my books and the atmosphere is exactly what I needed to escape to from Georgia. Maine is exactly as I imagined as a little girl reading books and in movies. I had such a long day visiting and shopping and exploring but when we came home and saw hour house – I am home!

Thank you for opening up your home to us. I hope to return “home” again some day!

  101. Marilu

The house was more beautiful and comfortable than I had imagined. I loved finding ample bedding and linens as well as all the little extras supplied in bathrooms and kitchen. The location was great since we spent most of our time in Acadia National Park. We could get “home” from the top of Cadillac Mtn. so fast we couldn’t believe it and we were still handy to the delights of town. Thank you for all the thoughtful touches provided in your beautiful house. I now feel as though I have my own vacation home in Bar Harbor! I am already scheming away to return and stay here again.

  102. Charles, Katz, William, and Charles, Jr.

This is the first time we’ve rented a house in Bar Harbor over the last 15 years. It was our last vacation before the twins started college. The wonderful charm and warmth of your house allowed us to enjoy this special time together as a family. Thank you to Capt. Jones for his service to our country. I am a retired Navy as well.

  103. Jean & Rick

A beautiful week here. Thank you once again for the welcoming warmth of your cottage.

  104. Family from Cape Cod, MA

We loved staying in your super comfortable home. The location is perfect and it was a great set up for our family. We had so much fun exploring the area. It is so beautiful here and we hope to return one day. We enjoyed all of our hikes with terrific views. For our last night we took our kids age 12, 12 & 7 to improv Acadia which was a big hit! Thank you.

  105. Family from Hamilton, New Jersey

You have a beautiful home! We love the wooden bears that greeted us as we arrived. The crow family next door kept us entertained as well. We thoroughly enjoyed being in your home this past week!

  106. Richard, Karen, Keran & Megan

What a wonderful home away from home for our first visit to Acadia. Our daughter immediately settled into the “pink” room. She insisted on hiking the Beehive twice – awesome trail! Swimming in Echo Lake after kayaking on Long Pond in the morning was another great day. Our son loved Sand Beach. My favorite was Jordan Pond where we hiked around the pond. Of course the meal at Jordan Pond was exceptional – highly recommend it. The kids are already planning a return trip. We’ll certainly stay here again. Your house is so lovely and we couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

  107. Hal

Had a great week at Parkside Cottage. The house is great, location excellent and of course we love the area. Thanks.

  108. Koong-Nah

Our family had a wonderful time in Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and just returned home last night. Acadia is beautiful and the lobster and clams are delicious. Parkside Cottage was exactly what our family needed and wanted. Clean, spacious, cute, well kept and close to Bar Harbor and the Park. We would love to rent the same place again the next time we return to Maine. Thank you.

  109. Hugh

We enjoyed staying at Parkside Cottage very much. It was a great six days in Bar Harbor and Acadia. You promised great weather and while it was hot, we were able to hike, bike, kayak, sail and climb. We had a wonderful time. Thanks.
