Our properties are located primarily on Mount Desert Island, home of Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Seal Harbor, Southwest Harbor and other quaint villages. Acadia National Park which is unequivocally one of the world’s most beautiful places comprises 47,000 acres of the island. With the rugged, craggy coast and beautiful vistas your time here will pass by quickly and you’ll most likely want to return. Many of our clients are folks who visit the area every year. Among the outdoor activities that visitors enjoy here are scenic drives, swimming, bird watching, boating, whale watching, hiking, fishing, rock climbing and biking. There are many hiking trails all over the island offering varied levels of difficulty. One of the crown jewels here in Acadia is the Carriage Trail system. This is 45 miles of hard packed gravel roads for hiking, biking or horseback riding that are vehicle free at all times. Many of the carriage trails have lovely vistas and overviews to enjoy during your outing. Each of the villages on the island offer a different flavor as far as shops, galleries and boutiques. Oh and did we mention the restaurants? From a lobster in the rough on the dock where you can watch the fisherman bring in the daily catch to some exquisite dining experiences there is something for everyone here!
