Your Acadia vacation is bound to be a memorable one at this beautiful timber frame home. In a quiet setting in Somesville, you’re close to Echo Lake and Long Pond as well as hiking trails at Acadia Mountain and Beech Mountain. The first floor is an open floor plan with the warm feeling you find with a timber frame home. Lovely living room for relaxing complete with books, tv, games and puzzles and a propane “woodstove”, open kitchen and dining room, a full bath with laundry and doors out to the large furnished deck. On the second floor you’ll find three bedrooms (one with a queen and two twins, one with a full bed and the third with a queen) as well as another full bathroom. Fully equipped for your getaway! Friday to Friday rentals here

We loved this place! Felt brand new. Private location, nice open spaces. Easy access to Acadia National Park. Well stocked amenities. The power went out due to a tropical storm and the back-up generator automatically came on. Very convenient.

We had a lovely time at this property. The location was convenient yet private and hosted two families comfortable, 4 adults and 5 kids. The description was exactly as provided and more! We felt very “at home” while away. Thanks for a wonderful week of memories!
Location is perfect. Close to Echo Lake swimming hole. Acadia Mountain and Beech Mountain trails. Just a small ride into Bar Harbor from this serene, beautiful property.
The cottage was great! Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival and the kitchen was well equipped to cook family dinners if you decided to stay in for the night. We loved the location as well! Less than 20 minutes to Bar Harbor. 5 minutes to kayaking and SUPs in Long Pond, or 5 minutes to swimming in Echo Lake. The trailheads for Acadia Mountain and Beech Mountain are also very close and those hikes had amazing views and were totally doable with my 5, 9 and 11 year old girls. We highly recommend staying at Somes Sweet Home!
Great location and the hosts were very responsive. Our favorite hikes were just minutes away from the house and other amenities were within an easy drive. The house was incredibly well stocked and had lots of thoughtful touches like extra blankets, pillows, fans, spices, etc. They even had nice cooking supplies, which made cooking at the house smooth and convenient… These are often cheap and inefficient at other rentals! Fantastic, quiet private location and we loved the outside deck. Wonderful trip made better by this home.
